Dan Spencer has an extensive amount of experience teaching students of all ages in both private and group lessons. He also continues his work for Montclair State University Preparatory Center for The Arts as well as a self-employed music instructor when he is not teaching at Melody Institute of Music and Art.
Mr. Spencer has performed in both North America and Europe while enjoying a career as an international recording artist whose songs have reached the music charts. Dan holds two degrees: one from Montclair State University and the other from Le Music Academy International in Nancy, France.
Dan’s teaching philosophy stems from the ever-important communication of the students’ goals to the teacher in order for the teacher to properly instruct the students on how to achieve their goals and to give the students any additional music skills which may be necessary along the way. He also believes in a straight-forward, step-by-step demystification process of guitar playing or “Guitar Secrets” which increase both learning and retention speeds for students.
